WHAT: World AIDS Day Rally in front of the White House
WHEN: November 30, 2007 1:00PM
WHERE: Lafayette Park in front of the White House
WHY: We're demanding the government "cut the red tape" that bars access to prevention and treatment in DC and around the world! We need comprehensive sex education in DC schools, a national HIV/AIDS strategy, and a scaling up of global treatment programs and effective, comprehensive prevention interventions.
WHO: Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, Rev. William G. Sinkford (President of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations), people living with HIV/AIDS, faith communities, health professionals, students

I wonder if another World AIDS Day Rally is being planned for this year and who the organizing committee is? If one is held it should be interesting to see how many people will attend this year. What are the AIDS statistics in the USA now, I wonder? I've heard it's becoming a greater problem but you don't hear much on the new about it anymore. _________________ http://ce4less.com |
